About this event

The Carmichael mine is the first coal mine developed in the Galilee Basin, a major new development in the region, and was achieved despite vigorous environmental objections.

The event will cover the development of the $1.5 billion open cut mine and rail project 300 km west of the Queensland coast to produce 10 million tonnes per year of high grade thermal coal.
