Gold24 International Symposium

GoldXX events are known for their ground-breaking science, controversial presentations, and being bloody good fun. The first meeting was Gold82 in Harare. Gold86 was in Barberton, South Africa, and memorable for the lively debate about syngenesis and epigenesis. Gold88 in Melbourne was a large meeting with extremely controversial talks.

There have been other meetings in Brazil and Southampton. More recently, the AIG (WA) has run several GoldXX meetings in Kalgoorlie, Perth and Rotorua (New Zealand). The last was Gold19 an AIG (WA) event, Perth. All meetings sought and achieved an overlap between exploration, mining, government and academia.
